The Central government approved Rs.2 Lakh crore for Pradhan Mantri Mudra Loan Yojana

With the intention of providing better entrepreneurship and to develop the small scale business sectors in the nation, the central government India announced the MUDRA yojana in the union budget presented for the financial year 2016. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) Raipur to Provide Houses for Slums

The Govt. of Chhattisgarh has introduced another housing scheme named the PMAY-G which is mainly for the financially backward families of the state. This scheme will be applicable only for the state people of Chhattisgarh who are economically backward and live in rural areas in kuchha houses. The PMAY scheme is a central level scheme to provide housing to all those families of the country who are deprived of having pucca houses. Now the Chhattisgarh Govt. under the leadership of Hon’ble CM Raman Singh has launched this PMAY-G scheme for the benefit of the poor families living in villages. This scheme was announced on 31st Dec, 2016. The main scheme – PMAY was officially launched in the year 2015.

Who are eligible for the scheme?

Families which are economically backward and living in rural pockets of Chhattisgarh are the eligible beneficiaries of the PMAY-G scheme. They must be living in kuchha houses which may be made up of mud, stones, plastic, etc. The state govt. will provide financial assistance to build them permanent houses. The beneficiaries under the PMAY-G must be domicile of the state and posses income certificate which indicates that they are economic backward.

  • The original scheme PMAY launched in 2015, pan India is the parent scheme which aims to provide housing for all. Whereas the PMAY-G is dedicated to the rural people of the states. The Chhattisgarh state govt. had also introduced the PMAY-G scheme in the state.
  • This scheme aims to reach its target by 2022 and provide all the poor and backward families living in Chhattisgarh, their own pucca houses.
  • The scheme in Chhattisgarh will be implemented in different phases and will cover all the districts. Districts with majority of tribal population will be covered at first. The Chhattisgarh govt. is committed to provide permanent and good housing solutions to the tribal people who live in temporary and shifting houses.
  • As per the concerned Ministry administering the PMAY-G scheme in Chhattisgarh, around 2 lakh pucca houses will be built across the state.
  • The beneficiaries can take up loans under the scheme for construction of pucca houses. The housing loans will be provided in 3 easy installments and will be credited in the bank account of the beneficiary.
  • There will be a separate allocation of funds for building pucca toilets inside the newly constructed homes under the PMAY-G scheme. The Chhattisgarh govt. has announced that it will provide Rs. 12 thousand per family to build toilets inside the houses so that they do not need to go outside.
  • To apply for the loans under the PMAY-G scheme, the eligible beneficiaries may directly contact their panchayat or block offices and collect the forms.
  • The construction material used for constructing these houses will be of superior quality and should pass the quality checks. The Housing Ministry will keep track of all the development activities and will ensure that the project work continues swiftly till completion.

Pregnant Women To Receive Rs 6500 Aid 

Prime Minister Modi has announced a new plan to offer financial aid to pregnant women around India. This is being designed to keep the mortality rate among infants down. It is especially designed to help pregnant women who may not be able to afford the cost of many hospital-related costs associated with the birthing process.

How Much Is It Worth?

This scheme is designed to provide pregnant women with up to Rs. 6,000 each. This is for helping to support many of the different expenses that pregnant women often have to bear with.

The Rs. 6,000 benefit for pregnant women will be used for covering expenses relating to the following:

  • The costs associated with hospitalization; this includes costs dealing with being in a hospital during the delivery process
  • Vaccinations and other treatments for the new child
  • Food and other nutritional forms of support for the child

The scheme will assist in ensuring that children are supported properly. This is to keep them from being at risk of dying or suffering from serious medical issues after they are born. This also helps hospitals as it ensures they will not be subjected to cases where they are owed money by mothers that might not afford to pay them back for the services they use.

Where Is It Applicable?

The new assistance plan will be available in more than 650 districts around India. Additional districts may be added in the future. Hospitals around the entire country should be able to support this.

Currently In Its Pilot Stage

For the time being, the plan will be operational on a pilot basis in 53 districts. It will expand to more locations over time. At the moment, it can be found primarily in some urban areas although the level of participation in this new program will be rather varied.

In addition, the benefit for women will be up to Rs. 4,000. It will also expand to its full Rs. 6,000 limit over time as the program becomes more in place and organized. It is unclear as to when the program will expand in its value.

How Will the Money Be Sent?

The money will be sent to the bank accounts of women who are pregnant. This is to make it easier for women to use the program.

Women are encouraged to register with the government for the scheme. This is so they can actually get the money that they need. The money will be delivered as soon as possible although it is expected to be sent out on a first-come, first-served basis.

This program is designed to help with improving how pregnant women are to get the physical support they need and that their children will be healthy. The program will grow over time as it is under control. More importantly, it ensures that children will receive the support that they need as a means of improving upon how well they are treated upon birth.
